Successful HSE Project in Oman

We undertook the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) study for the Salalah – Thumrait Truck Road (STTR) Project. The STTR Project will feature the first of its kind road in the Sultanate of Oman, approximately 67 km in length, designed specifically for heavy vehicles and will consist of a toll gate system.

Dome’s scope included:
- Undertaking of the environmental baseline surveys – ambient air quality and noise monitoring, terrestrial ecology survey, and soil analysis.
- Conducting social consultations to raise awareness of the project among key stakeholders.
- Modelling exercises to predict the emissions and noise generated by the vehicles.
- Preparation of the ESIA Report for the Environment Authority’s approval.
